Police were dispatched to DeCicco Family Markets in Scarsdale, when the motorist jumped the curb, causing minor damage to the building.

Police said that the 17-year-old driver told officers that she pressed on the gas pedal thinking that she was applying the vehicle’s brake, which caused the 2018 Jeep to jump the curb, striking the front of DeCicco’s exterior.

The building sustained minor damage, with several windows being broken. No injuries were reported.
